India’s rubber industry seeks incentives, FTAs to offset impact of 50% US tariffs
India’s rubber industry is seeking government intervention to counter the impact of steep US tariffs, which threaten a ₹5,000–₹5,200 crore trade surplus. AIRIA President Sashi Singh told CNBC-TV18 the sector has requested export incentives, duty drawbacks, and more FTAs, while also focusing on diversifying exports to Europe and boosting domestic demand.
