RBI MPC Meeting October 2024 Highlights: RBI keeps repo rate unchanged at 6.5%, changes stance to ‘neutral’

RBI MPC Highlights, RBI Monetary Policy Meeting Outcomes, RBI MPC Meeting October 2024 News & Key Highlights: The Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has decided to keep the repo rate unchanged at 6.5% for the 10th consecutive time in its October 2024 meeting. The reconstituted MPC, in its first meeting, has decided to change its stance to ‘neutral’. The committee has decided to enhance the pre-transaction limit to ₹10,000 from ₹5,000 for feature phone users through UPI123 Pay. It has also retained GDP growth projection for FY25 at 7.2%; GDP growth forecast for Q2 at 7%; Q3 at 7.4%; and Q4 at 7.4%. The inflation projection for FY25 has been retained at 4.5%.
