Spacetech startup PierSight’s Varuna satellite to revolutionise maritime monitoring with advanced SAR technology
Spacetech startup PierSight has unveiled its maiden satellite Varuna, that will deliver 24/7 all-weather maritime surveillance. Varuna will fly on ISRO’s PSLV launcher as a secondary payload aboard the PSLV orbital experiment platform. PierSight has an ambitious plan to fully operationalise its satellite constellation by 2028, with the first commercial satellite launch scheduled for next year.
