Delhi replaces Ladli scheme with Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana, promises ₹1 lakh support for girls’ education
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana, replacing the 2008 Ladli scheme from April 1. The programme promises phased financial support of ₹56,000, growing to ₹1 lakh with interest, for girls from low-income families. Linked to education milestones, it aims to prevent dropouts and strengthen long-term academic participation.
