Each year, on the night of Shaban 15, UAE residents celebrate an occasion that precedes the holy fasting month of Ramadan and is so deeply rooted in Emirati culture and heritage, known as Hag Al Leila, which will fall on February 13 this year.To celebrate Hag Al Leila with members of the community, Dubai's Global Village has unveiled a series of events that cater to the interests of visitors of all ages from Saturday, January 31 to Tuesday, February 3.Last year marked the first time that the popular family destination, which reopened its gates for Season 30 on October 15, joined the celebrations of Hag Al Leila, also known as Qargian in the UAE. Follow KT on WhatsApp Channels.In 2026, Global Village said it will host a fireworks show on January 31 at 9pm, a drone show on February 1 at 9.05pm, and a sweets distribution event for kids from January 31 to February 3.Besides these events, the park will host heritage majlis and decorations, and will arrange for creative workshops and activities to highlight Emirati culture.Young visitors will also have the chance to interact with Global Village's famous characters at the venue.A weekday ticket to Global Village costs Dh25, which is valid from Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays. Meanwhile, a ticket for any day costs Dh30, according to the official website. Entry is free for children under three, seniors above 65 years, and people of determination.
