Both the T-20 World Cup tournament host teams — Sri Lanka and India — had to face a humiliating defeat against England and South Africa respectively during their first Super 8 matches.While it was Jofra Archer and Will Jacks who toppled the fancied team Sri Lanka at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, it was the turn of Ms — Miller, Marco Jansen and Maharaja – who bundled out the much more fancied and reigning champion team India, that too with a huge margin, which could hurt our qualification to the semi-finals.It seems both were overconfident and took their opponents lightly. None of our batsmen had patience to stick to the wicket and play proper cricketing shots.At the same time, due credit should be given to the South Africa captain, who had analysed the weakness of each player to plot their downfall.Well, from now on it is going to be a herculean task for both the host teams, whose net run rate may cost them a place in the semi-finals, as the remaining opponents are not easy meat.Capt.
