‘No Emirati agenda in Gaza, political solutions are the only path,' says Gargash
Dr. Anwar Bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the UAE, said that there is no such thing as an “Emirati agenda” in Gaza, noting that the United Arab Emirates cooperates with all parties to reach genuine solutions, and that resolving the Palestinian issue must take place through political pathways.Gargash confirmed during the World Government Summit that 45% of the aid delivered to Gaza has come from the UAE.Regarding the UAE’s position toward Iran, Gargash said: “We must separate noise from reality. There are many ‘bots’ attacking us on social media, depending on the issue — sometimes Yemen, other times Sudan.”He explained that the UAE has been subjected to major attacks, stating: “We used to monitor around 45,000 anti-UAE tweets, but recently that number has dropped to approximately 3,000 tweets, indicating that these voices have shifted their focus to another issue.”Gargash emphasized that the key lies in distinguishing between noise and reality amid the criticism directed at the UAE’s regional role and policies. He stressed that the United Arab Emirates continues to support the cause of peace and to confront extremism in the region.
