Reflect and reset
Ramadan this year feels exclusive calmer, more intentional, and surprisingly productive. With my current work schedule running from 10am to 5pm, handling customer service quality and development from home, I’ve revealed something I didn’t fully appreciate before “time”. Unlike the days when traffic would consume hours and energy, shorter working hours and remote flexibility have gifted me space to respire, reflect, and reset. Ramadan has always been a Holy Month of discipline and devotion. But beyond fasting, it is also about alignment – aligning your body, cognizance, and purpose. Structuring my days with greater balance working from home – although at times I feel like I want to be around for some interaction. I make room for workouts, something I never compromise on.Weekends have taken on a gentler tempo. Chilling at home, reading, composing articles and feature stories, a little chat with my family back home, catching up on the latest news, observing life rather than racing through it.This Holy Month has reminded me that productivity does not always mean pressure. Sometimes it means peace. Sometimes it means routine. Sometimes it simply means showing up for your work, your health, and your inner world.Mathew Litty,Dubai
