Sultan allots land to construct Sharjah International Book Fair's HQ at the cost of Dhs500m

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Monday, revealed plans to allocate land located near the Emirates, Al Dhaid, and Khorfakkan roads.The site is set to become the future home of the Sharjah International Book Fair headquarters and a dedicated conference center.Sheikh Sultan revealed to "Direct Line" programme that land near the Emirates-Al Dhaid-Khorfakkan roads has been acquired for Dhs146 million to house the future headquarters of the Sharjah International Book Fair and a conference center.Construction is set to commence immediately and is expected to span two years, with a projected cost of Dhs500 million. The property spans an area of 2,915,536 square feet.
