UAE: 9 people injured in 7 motorbike accidents, say Abu Dhabi Police
Abu Dhabi Police said on Thursday that it responded to seven motorbike accidents in desert areas, resulting in nine injuries ranging from serious to moderate, and urged riders to comply with safety precautions while driving off-road.The accidents, which occurred in sandy areas, were a result of reckless driving and failure to comply with safety requirements, the police force added.A police officer in Al Ain Region called on parents to accompany the children to the areas where they practise motorcycle riding—particularly uninhabited sandy areas, in an attempt to prevent such behaviours that could lead to serious traffic accidents.Stay up to date with the latest news. They are also urged to always carry a first-aid kit and approved protective equipment. Al Baloush called on riders to reduce their speed in congested areas and to use only designated routes as indicated by traffic signs.
