UAE announces Eid Al Fitr holidays for public, private sectors from March 19

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced Eid Al-Fitr holiday, which starts from Thursday, March 19, until Sunday, March 22, 2026, for government entities, and from Thursday, March 19, until Saturday, March 21, 2026, for the private sector.FAHR and MoHRE clarified that if Ramadan lasts 30 days, the holiday will extend until Sunday, March 22, 2026 for private sector.The Sharjah Department of Human Resources has also announced that the Eid Al Fitr holidays for government entities in Sharjah will commence on Thursday, March 19, and continue until Sunday, March 22.Regular working hours will resume on Monday, March 23.
