An Indian expat died in Ras Al Khaimah in the early hours of Thursday as the emirate was battered by torrential rain. According to Indian media reports, the young man in his late twenties had sought refuge in a building when the rain intensified. A RAK resident who did not wish to be identified said that the young man had just returned to the UAE after getting married recently. “He worked in the shop adjacent to mine in Al Mamourah and always had a smile on his face,” he said. “The man was a delivery boy at a shawarma shop.
