UAE weather: Light rainfall expected, red alert issued for fog

UAE residents can expect fair to partly cloudy skies on Friday, January 9. Low clouds will appear over some northern and eastern areas, with a probability of light rainfall, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
There is a red fog alert issued today from 5.15am to 10am. There is also a yellow alert on wind and thunder rain from 6.30am to 8pm.
The country's climate will be humid by Friday night and Saturday morning over some coastal areas with a probability of mist formation.

On Friday, Abu Dhabi temperatures will range between 15°C and 25°C, while those of Dubai will be between 17°C and 26°C. Sharjah will see highs of 24°C and lows of 13°C.
Light to moderate northwesterly winds, becoming southeasterly and freshening at times, will blow with a speed of 10-25kmph, reaching 35kmph. The sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
