UAE weather: Red alert for fog; chances of rain as temperatures drop to 16ºC

Temperatures over the coast in the UAE are expected to drop on Thursday, February 5, as per the weather forecast issued by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), as residents woke up to fog covering some parts of the country.The NCM issued red and yellow alerts, urging residents to exercise caution while driving or venturing outside as the visibility drops.The alert is in place until 9.30am on Thursday morning. Overall, temperatures will range between 15ºC and 29ºC. A low of 16ºC is expected both in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The lowest temperature recorded in the UAE on Wednesday morning was 6.4°C in Al Ain's Raknah at 6.30am UAE local time.On Thursday, skies will be partly cloudy and cloudy at times over some northern and eastern areas with a chance of rainfall.
