UAE weather: Strong winds uproot trees as temperatures set to dip to 7ºC
The highest temperature in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi will be 23°C on Thursday
Weather across the UAE on January 22 is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing over some coastal and northern areas. The met department has predicted a further decrease in temperatures on Thursday.
Residents can expect humid weather by Thursday night and Friday morning, with a probability of mist formation over some western areas.
Moderate to fresh Northwesterly to Northeasterly winds, and strong at times by morning over the sea, causing blowing dust and sand, will blow with a speed of 15-30kmph, reaching 45kmph.

The sea will be very rough to rough, becoming moderate by night in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate in Oman Sea.
The National Center of Meteorology has warned of fresh northwesterly winds reaching 40kmph and rough conditions in the Oman sea with wave height reaching 6 feet, from 6am on Wednesday, January 2 till 7pm on Thursday, January 22.

Temperatures will hit 23°C in Abu Dhabi, and 20ºC in Dubai and Sharjah. The mercury will dip to 12ºC in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, with Dubai seeing a the lowest temperature of 13ºC.
The lowest temperature recorded over the country yesterday was 4.7°C in Jais Mountain (Ras Al Khaimah) at 7am. Today, Jais Mountain is expected to see a low of 7ºC.
