UAE weather: Temperatures to drop, dusty day expected

The weather on Friday, January 16, is expected to be dusty and partly cloudy, with low clouds set to appear over some coastal and northern areas, as per the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

There will be a noticeable drop in temperatures as the weekend nears for most UAE residents.

Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds are expected to blow, strong at times, causing blowing dust and sand, leading to reduced horizontal visibility, with a speed of 15-30km/hr, reaching 60 km/hr.

The sea will be very rough to rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Oman Sea.

Temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 7ºC in some areas of the country and reach a high of 25ºC in other parts.

Meanwhile in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, temperatures will reach a high of 23ºC, 23ºC and 22ºC, while dipping to a low of 20ºC, 23ºC and 18ºC, respectively.
