Lieutenant Colonel Ali Hamid Al Shamsi, Acting Director of the Ports Police Station, said maximum readiness has been activated across all marine and coastal units. The plan was developed with partners inside and outside Dubai Police to ensure a rapid response to any emergencies at sea.

Marine patrols have been intensified across Dubai’s ports and coastal checkpoints. Beach patrols have also been deployed along public and private shorelines to ensure full coverage and immediate response to emergency reports.

Al Shamsi said public safety remains the top priority during periods of unstable weather, noting that specialised teams trained to handle maritime emergencies are on standby around the clock. He urged the public to contact the Command and Control Centre on 999 in case of emergencies.

Dubai Police also called on the public to strictly follow official instructions and avoid swimming or using recreational marine equipment such as jet skis, small boats and dinghies, warning that strong winds, high waves, and rapidly changing sea conditions could put lives at risk.
