It is deeply unfortunate that the war between Russia and Ukraine shows no sign of ending, as deadly attacks from both sides continue to escalate. Despite the tragic loss of thousands of civilians and members of paramilitary forces, the violence persists unabated, leaving behind destruction, grief, and long-lasting trauma.The world is meant to be a beautiful and livable place for all beings, yet today millions of people are living under the constant shadow of fear and terror. It increasingly feels as though the world has entered a season of war, where conflicts erupt one after another with little regard for human life. While disagreements and disputes between nations are inevitable, history has shown that war should never be considered the only or preferred solution.Dialogue and diplomacy remain the most powerful tools for resolving conflicts. If the warring parties, Russia and Ukraine, demonstrate the political will to sit at the negotiation table with sincerity, this prolonged conflict can be brought to an end. A peaceful resolution would not only serve the best interests of their own people, who are paying the heaviest price, but would also contribute to global stability and security.Shahjahan Azam,By email
