Three arrested for illegal fishing, attempt to run over security officer in Kuwait
The Ministry of Interior in Kuwait reported on social media that a boat was spotted on Sunday morning, February 8, 2026, engaging in illegal fishing in violation of regulations and safety requirements.The ministry said the vessel was detected as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain security and order in territorial waters during routine maritime patrols conducted by the General Directorate of Coast Guard.When authorities attempted to stop the boat’s captain, he failed to comply with orders and immediately attempted to flee. He was pursued to the shore, where he attempted to escape in his vehicle and attempted to run over a security officer.
